Summer Place

There’s no real reason to eat at Summer Place in Republic unless you live in Republic—or know someone who does. And yet, that’s exactly what makes it so fascinating. We came in for a Friday night fish fry with my wife and grandparents. I’m 27. I was easily 50 years younger than every other diner in the room. It felt like we had walked in on a neighborhood dinner party that had been running since the 1970s—and somehow, we were welcome to join for the cost of a meal. This was a great little diner to eat at! The pancakes are the best you will ever have, but only have 1 because they are huge! I will definitely come back here when I'm in the area!

The place was wonderful. Very friendly and clean place. The kiddos, 3 of them between the ages of 7 to 11, said that this was better than McDonald's,.lol..kids. The portions were large and filling. The pancakes were delicious and fluffy. We had a great time looking at all the old cookware on the wall. Will definitely return again if in this part of Yopper land.

Old time country feel and enjoyed our food!! Owner was very kind and the establishment was clean and orderly.
