I got the Mongolian Beef Dinner(mild) with egg drop soup, egg roll, and 2 cheese wontons for $18.95 +$1 for fried rice. The Mongolian Beef was really good, and the egg roll/ cheese wontons were fresh and tasty. The fried rice could have used carrots and peas in it, and more egg and sauce considering I paid an extra dollar for it, but it tasted fine. The service and atmosphere was great, everyone was very nice and friendly. Thank you!!
I really enjoy this restaurant for its inviting atmosphere, attentive service, and excellent food. The vegetable spring rolls stand out for their freshness and texture—they’re crisp and flavorful rather than soft or mushy. The Kung Pao chicken and Mongolian beef are both consistently delicious, and the sesame tofu is impressively light and crispy. It’s a great example of a high-quality Chinese restaurant that delivers on both flavor and presentation.
Sun Cafe! The place I would recommend to anyone looking for Asian food in Longmont. The food is not overseasoned and has lots of fresh vegetables included. They are consistent here and make us happy every time we choose to eat here. We have tried probably half the menu at this time and have enjoyed what they have to offer. The employees are also nice and we are happy they moved to this location. Speaking of which also try Rosa Cantina and Pistachio next door, what a line up! All good food and service, we're so lucky to have these three restaurants next to each other! The only reason Sun Cafe gets 4 stars is that it is a bit expensive (I understand everything is up in price) and thus we can't eat here so often. Expensive but it is worth it when you have some pocket change!
This was our first time here. The service was friendly and the food was good. The portions are large. They have an extensive menu with Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese choices. The phone rang off the hook with take out orders. I would try them again.
The food was good quality, delicious, and the dinner portions were very generous. The crab cheese wontons are the best I've ever had. Service was a little slow, but it did appear that they were short staffed, and our waiter was definitely hustling while keeping a friendly demeanor. The lunch specials are reasonably priced, so we will go back soon for lunch, and to try something different. I do hope they will offer pork as an option with the Vietnamese rice noodles bowls in the future. The space itself is somewhat loud, and I struggled to hear at times. Overall, though, the food earned 5 stars from me! Yum!
