Customer Reviews
I bought the chicken fried chicken, was not impressed at all. The pieces were extremely thin, you could barely taste the chicken OR the breading. What you could taste wasn’t very flavorful? The eggs and hash browns were find although those are hard to mess up. The pieces of toast were not good at all, any Texas toast from Walmart or even the dollar store would have been better. It was a beautiful restaurant that was very clean. The staff was very friendly, and they did fine checking on us. We stayed about 40 minutes and they asked us once if everything was ok, then again for a refill.
The food here is delicious. I have no complaints. Will definitely be returning.
We stopped in on a Saturday for lunch and ordered the Bistro Burger, Signature Reuben, Sunny’s Skillet, and Kids Mac & Cheese. The food was good. Sunny's Skillet is a large hashbrown with lots of stuff mixed in. It's a pretty unique dish. Service is good here.
Update! We Love the atmosphere of this diner. This is our third time coming here. We live in San Antonio and visit family at Home Town. We have now had breakfast, and brunch here. The food was great and fries were our favorite. The Monterey Ranch Chicken Wrap was very filling and offered grilled and fried chicken. I did feel that it was light on chicken and heavy on veggies. We also got the pick 2 Cali BLT with GF bread and Berry Avocado Salad. Perfectly sized portions and my wife enjoyed both. For breakfast I had the Homemade Corn Beef Hash with 2 eggs over medium (yolk was perfect), and sour dough toast. Wife had the Berry Yogurt Bowl, and my daughter had the strawberry shortcake pancakes. All portions were perfectly sized and will definitely fill you up, especially the pancakes! Needles
First sign of trouble was that they didn't have any working restrooms, which I think is not up to code. We were seated immediately, but it took 30 minutes to receive our food. Our waitress came to our table once. Our food was good, but I wouldn't come back.
