Sunny Wings

I was a Sunny’s regular for nearly 4 years, but my visits became less frequent once I moved out of the area. I went back today after not having their food for several months and learned that they had reopened under new management. I decided to give them a chance and was disappointed in my 6 piece honey lemon pepper combo. The wings no longer have the signature honey sauce. They were basically your average lemon pepper dry wings with some lemon juice. They’ve replaced their seasoned crinkle cut fries with these British style fries that tasted like they were fried in fish oil. I drove down the street to American deli to get fries after leaving. I wish them the best, but I don’t think I’ll be back.

This restaurant now is under new management and the food is AMAZING. Highly recommend the honey lemon pepper wings. The wings are fresh and unbelievably delicious! Their philly cheese steak and fries were great as well. I’ll definitely be visiting again to try out the rest of their menu! If you’re looking for a great wing spot in the area, I highly recommend you try this place!

My boyfriend and I used to be regulars at this restaurant. He always enjoyed the catfish, tilapia, or combo meals with fries, while I loved their extra hot lemon pepper wings. The food was always amazing. However, after the new management took over, we went back for the first time yesterday, and it was a huge letdown. My boyfriend’s catfish tasted like soap and was basically mush and unappetizing, and my wings tasted like they were drenched in tomato sauce rather than that classic lemon pepper flavor. We were really disappointed. The previous management definitely did a better job.

The wings tasted great — awesome flavor and seasoning — but they’re way too small. On NFL Sunday I ordered 20 wings and it honestly felt more like 12 regular-sized wings. That’s pretty disappointing when you’re trying to enjoy the game. I’m glad I tried Sunny Wings, but I won’t be back until they address the size issue. Sunny Wings is hands down one of the best spots I’ve been to. The hibachi is cooked perfectly fresh, flavorful, and not overloaded with grease. You can tell everything is made with care, and the portions are solid. The wings are next level. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the sauces are packed with flavor without being overpowering. Easily some of the best wings around. Great food, great quality, and consistently on point. If you’re craving hibachi or wings (or both), this place is a must-try. I’ll definitely be back! Customer service is top of the notch as well, thank you!
