Sunrise Subs & Grill

We heard good things so we decided to give Sunrise Subs a try. It’s a cute little place. I got a large turkey, cappicola, and provolone, 6 piece cajun wings, and my husband got a rueben. For $47, the amount of food was lacking. There was very little meat in my sub. Same with the rueben. Definitely not happy paying $17 for a sandwich that is mostly bread. I have to be honest we won’t be back. Very disappointing. If you’re going to charge $17 for a sandwich, it better be packed with meat like LaSpadas or Louie K’s.

I’m originally from NY and we were very used to Bodega style food. Some better than others, but for the most part made to order and fresh. Well I can finally say this place brings us right back. Family owned and operated. Made to order breakfast and lunch. Sal took our order and his aunt cooked with her daughter by her side. It was delicious! I had a breakfast sandwich with American cheese, link sausage sautéed onion Scrambled eggs With mayo on a sub roll or as I like to say hero bread 🥖 I recommend highly if you’re hungry and want something delicious take a ride over or even get it delivered. It’s worth every penny!

I ordered my food via their website and walked from my work to the restaurant (it was a 4 minute walk). While the food tasted great, I was not a fan of the burger being well done. If there was an option on the ordering website to choose my level of rarity on the burger, I would have had a juicer burger (I like medium rare and was asked in store how I wanted my burger done after they cooked the burger past that point). Overall, if you are close by and don’t want to drive to a restaurant, it’s a good place to eat with both breakfast and lunch options at relatively affordable prices.

Customer Service was great over the phone, food was ready for me at pick up and they remembered me. The place is smaller than my perception by looking at the pictures posted, but is not a sit down restaurant although it has stools overlooking the window. Is not in the Main Street is kinda hidden but easy to find, easy parking is available. Food was very well packed to go. Steak cheese hot sandwich was very good cooked and tasty with red and green peppers in strips that made it visually yummy 😋 Lamb giros were not for me but heard it was a fair price for it and no complaints. The only thing I found was that at check out the tipping screen approached with the options in the 20% which made me feel forced to overtip. Overall it was a quick and good experience.

The food is phenomenal and totally worth it. The only reason the service is a 4 and not a 5 is because they did not have our food ready on time when we ordered online. The staff are great though and super friendly and accommodating. They also did not have all the ingredients available for our orders everyday. They were very kind and accommodating in resolving this issue though. This is not really a dine in place so plan on getting your food to go. I highly recommend ordering in advance online but be prepared to pick up your food at least 10 minutes later than you request.
