WE LOVE LOVE LOVE SUNSET PHO! My go to is the Spicy Lemongrass Pho and the Yugoslavian Spring Rolls. Yep you need to try them they are amazing. I love the family that runs this place they are so sweet and the food and services is always amazing! We have dinner there at least once a month. The Vietnamese ice coffee SO SO YUMMY!
We enjoyed our dinner Vietnamese/ Serbian fusion restaurant. The food was tasty, fresh and delicious. The service was very warm and fast eventhough they were busy. We like the ambiance of the restaurant. Quite pricey for vietnamese food but portion sizes are good. Recommended!
Sunset Pho Caffe is an absolute gem in Lakeview East. Super fresh, hot, flavorful beef pho. We also loved the opportunity to try Jugoslavian cuisine. Piletina Sa Zara was equally as delicious. Readily apparent that all their food is cooked with love and care. Super friendly owners who were interacting with diners on a Saturday night. We can’t wait to come back!
Hole in the wall spot serving exceptional pho and Vietnamese dishes. Visited in a Sunday night around 6pm without a reservation. Fortunately sat down immediately but this place was hopping! Recommend making a reservation for weekends. Interior isn’t huge, maybe 10ish tables with full bar seating. Really comfortable restaurant. Ambiance is just the right amount of strange (and I mean that in the best way). Service was on point. I’m no expert in pho but the bowl I had was spectacular. Robust broth, large portion, extremely satisfying. Also tried the noodle salad (not pictured) which might’ve been even better. Such a refreshing dish.
Hands down the best pho and the only place I go to for my soup fix. My go-to orders are the spring rolls, the vegetarian pho and the spicy beef. Fantastic, fragrant broth. Consistent, great quality and unlike any other pho I’ve had. Also, do yourself a favor and order from the Yugoslavian menu as well - highly recommend the cheese burek. The owner is a fantastic man and will allow you to take some home to bake it yourself.
