Surf Taco - Silverton

Great taco spot which apparently has several locations up and down the Jersey shore. This was our first time there. I tried the Surf Burrito and my sone had 3 tacos. The tacos were great and each one was substantial enough to be worth the $6 per taco. The burrito was good but in hindsight, I wish I had tried one with a different protein than the fried cod which came in the Surf Burrito. The breading on the cod was not crispy at all, so it ended up being a soft chewy protein among other soft ingredients, like beans, etc. It needed more texture to it. I would still definitely recommend this spot and hope to try it again. One watch-out is to be careful driving around the parking lot; it desperately needs to be re-paved; or else some cars might end up with tire damage in the potholes.

Super friendly staff and very attentive. Came and checked on me twice while dining in and cleared my baskets within moments of finishing. I visit pretty consistently and the food is always great

I have been going to Surf Taco for years. The food and service are consistently good. I am very disappointed with the updated interior. Part of the Surf Taco experience was the connection to the local surf scene. There were no pictures of New Jersey surf spots. There were no tvs playing surf videos. There was no personality. Definitely felt very corporate.

Good food. Great service. I mostly get burritos because seems they don’t warm up the corn tortillas. Like my tacos with the tortillas heated up, thrown on the flat top with some oil or grease, etc. Uncooked, flaky, tortillas just aren’t appetizing. If they started heating up the tortillas on the flat top, and the salsa bar had some jalapeño peppers and pickled carrots etc, it would be up to five stars for sure!

Never been here before, but so glad I stopped. The food was spectacular and so reasonably priced. Service is super quick and friendly, the atmosphere was chill, and the restaurant was super clean. Highly recommend the shrimp tacos and the chicken tender taco. They were outstanding and busting with fresh crisp toppings! Hope I can get back soon.
