Sushi On San Marcos - Japanese Restaurant

My go to spot now! The fish is so fresh, and service is always amazing. All the servers and chefs are super nice and it’s just a very welcoming environment. No complaints whatsoever in the times I’ve been here, definitely the best in San Marcos! My favorite has to be the crispy rice with spicy tuna, it’s so crunchy and delicious. Everything I’ve had just sets the bar so high! The prices are also so reasonable for the amazing quality. Great restaurant!

This place is SUCH a hidden gem in San Marcos. We were blown away by the freshness and incredible combo of flavors each fish and roll had to offer!!! Their Sushi Combo B ($36) which comes with 8pcs of sushi and one speciality roll is perfect if you want a balance of nigiris and a roll! Each piece of fish was sooo good!! Tried Sushi On in San Marcos and really enjoyed it. The sushi was fresh and nicely presented, with a good variety of rolls and nigiri. The portions were generous, and the flavors balanced well without being too heavy. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere felt casual but modern, making it a nice spot for both a quick bite or a sit-down dinner. Prices were fair for the quality, and we’ll definitely come back to try more of the specialty rolls.

I love this place! Sushi was fresh, staff were friendly, and service was amazing! I highly recommend calamari tempura and mushroom special. The salmon sashimi was exceptionally fresh and had a buttery texture which literally melted in my mouth! The uni was so rich and creamy. Their rolls were also impressive! I’ll definitely be returning to try more dishes. Thank you for the quality food :)

We tried multiple sushi restaurants in the north county area but this is the best spot. The sashimi is so fresh and the mango salmon roll is very balanced! The chicken katsu meat is also very tender and the coating is crispy. All the staff were friendly and the service was prompt. I would definitely go here again.
