Susitna Place

My daughter and I stayed in the Katmai Room which we highly recommend. Two very comfortable beds, private bathroom, very quiet. We stayed at Susitna Place on our first night and then midway through our trip. Monica was a great host and made delicious breakfasts with many choices! We had to leave early our first morning to catch the train, and she even made us a breakfast to go - wonderful! The view of Cook Inlet is beautiful. The B&B is in walking distance to many restaurants, and Monica was very helpful to show us on a map some of her favorite spots. We cannot recommend this B&B enough. Book early!!

We stayed at this wonderful B and B for 2 nights in Anchorage. It was superb. Our room was very spacious and had everything we needed for comfort and a great night's sleep. The quiet location overlooks the water and is walking distance to downtown--restaurants, museums, and the fantastic Tony Knowles trail. The hosts recommended places to eat and things to do. They served a delicious, complete breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs cooked to order, French Toast, and some of Alaska's finest coffee. We enjoyed spending time with then and learning more about visiting the many parts of Alaska. We look forward to staying here again.

We spent three nights here. Monica and Steve were great hosts - gave us suggestions for dinner, local attractions, etc., and a map to help us find our way. Breakfast was great! Fresh fruit, eggs/quiche, cereal, yogurt, pastries and more! The view from the community room is breathtaking, a gorgeous view of Susitna Mountain and the water. Located in a very quiet section of downtown and convenient to walk to restaurants, shopping, museums etc. The room was quiet, comfortable and had all the necessities including a hair dryer. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Susitna Place B&B- it close enough to walk to the downtown sights and restaurants, room was very comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was excellent. Amazing views of the sound from the large balcony and living room. The owners are very helpful and Monica was happy to advise on restaurants and activities before our arrival. I would highly recommend this place if you are lucky enough to snag a reservation!

We really enjoyed our short stay here, I only wish we could've stayed longer than one night. This was a trip for extended family so we had three rooms and were impressed with all of them. I personally got to stay in one of the suites so I was blown away by the nice big bedroom with it's own deck. We had to be at the airport early the next morning and Monica was very gracious and got breakfast ready a bit early. I was expecting a standard continental breakfast but she really outdid herself and served a beautiful spread of delicious breakfast items. I will absolutely stay here again the next time I'm in Anchorage (if it's not sold out).
