Sutherland House Victorian Bed & Breakfast

We absolutely loved staying at the Sutherland House for a romantic weekend getaway in the middle of February. We were delighted with our adorable room, Ivy Solace, which was lovingly decorated and had many thoughtful touches. Nate, the chef, was not only a most hospitable and welcoming host, but also an amazing culinary artist. We were blown away by both three course breakfasts we enjoyed during our stay. We enjoyed meeting a few other couples who were staying there the same weekend, and would absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Canandaigua!

As a regular guest for many years, we knew exactly what to expect, and we were NOT disappointed! Sutherland House Victorian B&B is so much, much more than just a place to stay on the road while visiting upstate NY. We truly get the feeling of a kind of time travel back to the 1800's, with the comforts of our own time. Consistently very high quality of everything, especially the luxurious three course breakfast served at the long table decorated with seasonal flowers with lovely warmth from the large gas fireplace in the dining room! Favorite accommodation #1 and of course at the top of our list for any vacation trip to the northeastern part of the United States!! Once again, thank you so much for an unforgettable stay!! Had such an amazing stay here! We stayed in the rose room and it had everything we needed and more. They even have a little box full of necessities if you forgot to pack anything. The breakfast was amazing and all the staff are incredible and very friendly. Definitely staying here in the future whenever I go up to the finger lakes!

My wife and I stayed here for 1 evening and wished we had stayed additional nights. We booked the Rose Room and it was magnificent. We've stayed at many B&Bs all around the world and this one ranks up pretty high. The room and bathroom were spotless. We never met the owners in person, but communication was easy and professional. Our room didn't include breakfast but it smelled amazing from our room the following morning. We plan to stay here again in the near future and will definitely be adding the breakfast to our room this time.
