T J's Ice Cream Plus

Horrible service. Bunch of kids running the place. Ordered 2 double scoop waffle cones and 1 double scoop dish. The dish barely had a full scoop. I questioned it and the employee just stared at me. Every person after us who ordered a dish, received much more than we did. For the high prices, you should at least get what you ordered! Almost $30 for 3 people!

Love this shop, it’s right near us and our summer go to. Great quality hard ice cream with wide flavor selection, my favorite is cinnamon which is light and creamy and hard to find, and the bubble gum. Yummy shakes, custard and a candy classic selection as well. Not the best looking space, but cute tables outside have nice ocean breezes. Service a bit slow but what’s the rush?

We really liked TJ's when we first moved down here, especially since it was a walkable distance. Lately every time we go I am increasingly disappointed. The quality has went down immensely. This last time we went they completely messed up my order (which I get mistakes on busy nights happen), but my ice cream was so watery that it wasn't even enjoyable. My daughter's was the same way. My husband's heath bar crunch was basically just vanilla with a few pieces of heath thrown in. I think we will make the drive from now on to the better places in town.

Flavorful and creamy. I particularly like the expresso chip and what they call “it’s a goody” with peanut butter ice cream and peanut butter and chocolate chunks mixed in.

It's hard to believe but the owner is the slowest person working there. Over 15 minutes to prepare ice cream for 4 people. By the time she was done with the last so I could pay and leave the window, mine was completely melted into soup. People we were there with said they saw her doing other things while she was supposed to be making our order - including replacing empty tubs of ice cream for flavors she didn't need for us. The product is average at best, but it's convenient for us. If I ever see the owner at the window again I will just leave. $22 for 3 ice creams and 1 melted ice cream soup is way too much money.
