Ambiance (5/5): (I think some of the vibe pictures are outdated as there is no longer a bar seating that overlooks the kitchen) It is a cozy atmosphere with the wooden wall panels and brick. The space was fairly open. Service (5/5): It was not very busy during the lunch hours so we were serviced quickly and often. Food: There was a couple of seasonal specials posted on the wall. Chicken Bun (5/5): The chicken came out piping hot with a classic chicken katsu breading that was flakey and seasoned wonderfully. The soft buns with the creamy sauce was very very good! Lava Men (5/5): There was a lot of flavor and depth to the broth. The charsiu pork pieces were perfect, a great thickness with fat to meat ratio that gave it a juicy bite. Note the soft boiled egg was actually poached and not boile

My family and I stumbled in here the other night not realizing they were closing in 30 minutes. They still sat us down and got our food out pretty quick. Not only was the service amazing, but the food was so freaking good. I’m still thinking about the pork katsu curry and my apple saketini. The pork was cooked perfectly and was so juicy, along with the very flavorful curry. My sister and cousin both ordered the BBQ beef short ribs and left no crumbs. We also tried the spicy miso ramen, which was super yummy and filling. I highly recommend their fun drinks, like the apple saketini, strawberry saketini, lychee sake, and the yuzu sake. This is a great spot to go out with your family and friends, or even for a night out. I don’t even care that I’m based in Queens, I will come out of my way fo

I used to work in the area, and this was one of my favorite spots. I came back today just for the ramen, because I’ve tried to find another one as good as this and haven’t been successful. I usually get the edamame and any of the ramen options, and they’re always amazing. It’s a hidden gem on the UES — you should definitely check it out!

Love Tabata! I use to go to their previous locations for years. My fav is their Sutamina Ramen! You just cant get this ramen anywhere else. This is the best place to get authentic Japanese Ramen. Also their hospitality has always been top tier. This new location is beautiful and the food is great as always. I can't wait to pass by again.

So happy to find this place since the other location wasn't available! I actually cried because I loved the ramen there but now no more sad tears. I can finally slurp noodles and drink that amazing yuzu soda in peace. The food’s amazing as it always has been. The tonkotsu ramen was perfectly filling and the karaage was very good, especially since it was first time eating it. The staff were lovely and accommodating, made my bestie and I feel very welcomed. Plus, there was no wait to be seated. Just walked in and were instantly ushered to a table and offered water with menus. Absolutely will be coming back no doubt about it. Hopefully, I’ll learn how to use chopsticks by then, who knows?
