Taco Casa

When you eat somewhere all the time, you kind of take it for granted. It’s not til I’m on the road and experience terrible service that I appreciate how great my regular haunts really are. I honestly can’t think of one time I’ve had a bad experience here - and I’ve eaten here weekly since it opened years ago. There really isn’t a fast food place Ive been to in that time that has the degree of consistent service that Taco Casa has. The food is always exactly right, the quality is always great, service is always fast, and the place is always clean and welcoming. I travel a lot and there are some truly horrendous fast food places out there. Taco Casa is the polar opposite - a rare 10. Plus, it’s definitely the best tea in town.

I always stop here for lunch on my way through town when we travel. Taco lite and chilada and my favs. This is what Taco Bell wishes it could be. Fast. Fresh. Great portion sizes and flavors are so good!

edit: have been coming here more often due to convenience, and the food/service is better than initial impressions below. DEFINITELY better than taco bell, yet priced similarly. Store is definitely clean and well lit. Service was OK. Had to repeatedly ask soft-spoken cashier with heavy accent to repeat themselves. Staff seems to avoid looking people in the eye, but my understanding that's a thing with alot of younger people now. Food came out quickly, and, at first, I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size. HOWEVER... I ordered nachos and, though tasty and not skimping on meat, beans, etc., none of the chips were whole. Looked like they all came from the bottom of the bag. ALOT of broken chips that were almost crumbs. Chips also got soggy from really quickly.

went to taco Casa tonight for supper. In 15 years I had never eaten there. Joined friends the other day but I did not eat. They never said anything about the food. Other than the nacho plate was large. Got the nachos tonight, or I guess it was super nachos, because I wanted the jalapeños. the chips were awful (I've never tasted since we are tortilla chips in my tummy is definitely not happy after eating them) the cheese was awful. The beans were OK, I think the meat was probably full of filler, the tomatoes and sour cream were OK. The cashier told me he didn't get paid enough to tell me or know what was in their green sauce. He asked one person and they said green pepper. He did ask one young lady, and she was nice enough to go back and see what was in it after i inquired about it. I do
