Taco King

Interesting that 108th Street offers myriad kosher and halal eateries; just walking here makes me feel holier than thou. I stop at Taco Kings, whose prices seem untouched by inflation since I left the neighborhood a few years ago. An underrated virtue of the place is that it works just as well for gathering with friends as for reading and studying alone. Over two excellent veg tacos, I read a Times editorial in which centrist economist Jason Furman confessed he couldn’t read the economic tea leaves—too many conflicting signals. He’s one of those one-handed economists LBJ once lamented. Whatever the macro outlook, I can say without hesitation: I love this taco place.

This is the best go to for healthy, delicious food, family owned business! I go here a couple of days a week. Their steak quesadilla is amazing and their black bean tacos for $2.25 is fantastic and delicious. I highly recommend Taco King!

Still a great place to get tex-mex food. They take credit cards now and are on food delivery apps but I suggest calling and ordering delivery directly from them. They use skirt steak for their steak dishes. The Tortillas are fresh also. I love their salsa/sauce (the not spicy one). Food takes a bit to make, def not a bad thing. I suggest calling and ordering in advance. Very limited seating. Very busy place. People are always calling in or picking up an order.

Taco King Mexican Grill is definitely one of our favorite spots in the neighborhood when we are craving for taco or nacho. They serve various cheap Asian Mexican food with decent quality and good flavors. We got their Nacho with Steak, Regular Chili Taco and side orders of shrimp & chicken to share with a group of two. It’s overall delicious and our favorite was their steak, which was grilled properly & tender. However, their chicken was kind of dry and chewy.

Money Cheap but not Food Cheap! Alot of food for the money & tastes awesome! They are very fast too, i never waited more than 10min for my orders! Can't order without getting a side of Guac or Chilli.
