Taco Shop El Rey

We wanted to make a pick up order and we called at 4:30pm we were told to hold on so we waited 10 minutes just for the guy to hang up on us. It was 4:40pm. We decided to just drive there an order we get there at 4:48pm to walk in and the guy says you have 5 minutes to order…..he was being rude not knowing we were on hold for 10 minutes just to be hung up on and for him to be rude on top of that is not professional at all. We then order our order and ask for extra green sauce he says if you want extra green sauce you can get it out of the tin there…that guy needs to be more polite to his customers that pay his bills. We love this place and spend money here so for him to treat us like an inconvenience after we experienced what we did was just wrong.

Service was good, the lady working at front was as fastest she could, but food was insipid was not tasty!! We waited over an hour for our food!! They charge for potato chips when most of restaurants don't charge you for them, and to top it off when we got home the potato chips were never in our bag!!! Any way our burritos were excessively full of ONIONS!!! I like onions don't get me wrong but this burritos maannnn no noo nooo!!! I'm going back to Pablo's Taco Truck next to Gus Stake House avoid this place my first and last time going to this place Taco del rey I don't recommend it. I waited over one hour to get my food order.

Tacos here are excellent! We had the shredded chicken, carnitas and asada. The carnitas was the best.

Better than average taqueria with a good salsa bar - the green salsa is excellent. Chips ($1) are fried to order and served hot! Extremely nice people in a family-run restaurant.

Some of the best Mexican food in Sonora, generous prices when you consider their serving sizes. They also have some of the best jamaica I've had, super refreshing.
