I’ve been here two times so far and it was great both times! The first time I had ground beef tacos and the second time, I had both chicken and steak tacos. 🌮 I’ll definitely be back! I’m starting to want some tacos just thinking about it! As of this review they have moved to the lot on Albert Pike where you turn onto Westpine Dr., close to the American Legion. Definitely worth checking out!
Always looking forward to trying a new taco truck! So, I had to try all six flavors of tacos (of course 😂)- steak (asada), Mexican sausage (choziro), chicken (pollo), marinated pork (pastor), ground beef w/ taters (picadillo) and pork in green salsa (chicharron). I’m honestly glad I did bc normally I’m an asada or pastor kinda lady (although I LOVE shredded beef if it’s available) and to be honest, those were not my favorite here. I would go back for the pork in green salsa and the ground beef with taters all day. The flavor was really savory and seasoned well. The texture of the pork with green salsa was really soupy but I did appreciate the flavors, like I said I’d go back for it, and the beef and potato one was soft without any chewy or hard crunchy tidbits hiding in it which I always a
I visited this place on December 20th and ordered three steak tacos before hitting the freeway for an hour-long drive home. I was really looking forward to them since the reviews seemed decent, but I was extremely disappointed. When I took my first bite, the steak was cold, unseasoned, and tough to chew. It felt like the meat had either been left over from the previous day or had been sitting out for a while. Despite my disappointment, I tried to eat them because I was starving and had already spent my money. However, with my second bite, I found a long, thick strand of brownish hair wrapped in the steak. I immediately gagged and was so disgusted. I was so upset that I didn't have time to go back for a refund, but I can assure you that if I ever return to this area, I won’t waste my time
Taco Zone is now in a new location across the street and west of McDonalds. Seating is under a metal canopy with three picnic tables. The food is good even as the selection is limited. We have tried it three times over the last few weeks. The service was good every time. It is an industrial area so it is noisy and there can be diesel fumes from heavy equipment etc. Plenty of parking including room for tractor trailers. Definitely worth stopping by for a burrito etc.
I live near by and was so happy when a taco truck popped up. Was even more elated when the food was excellent and it really is every time. The owner is great always very nice and the food never takes long at all. I recommend to everyone.
