Tacos Del Gordo

This place is my favorite place to eat Mexican food in Colorado Springs. It’s always delicious and the recipes are the same at all locations. They have drive-throughs to make it even more convenient but going inside is the real icing on the cake due to their salsa/jalapeño bar. I highly suggest this location to anyone craving authentic Mexican food as well as the other 3 locations.

I've been coming here for a couple of years, most of the time the service and food is really good, tonight, not so much. I ordered huevos rancheros, a plate I've ordered on several visits but tonight it looked like they made a burrito and just dumped it on the plate. Not the normal fried eggs, tostada shells, cheese and sauce. I took it back and the girl argued with me and insisted that it was made correctly. She gave me a partial refund, I'm probably not going to return to this location. You could have just admitted it wasn't made correctly but arguing with a customer is not acceptable.

Look at all the steak! These burritos are massive, loaded with meat all-the-way-through, fresh and fast, definitely worth the price. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Blows "el super taco" out of the water: more food for the same price.

We have gotten take out here many times and the food is always great. The Horchata is a favorite among my family, it has even been the main reason we have picked this place to get dinner before. We have to buy multiple so everyone can get some.

We first tried tacos del gordo at their truck in woodland park. We lived in Mexico City for two years and have not found tacos that fulfill our cravings like these. More expensive han other Mexican places, but they make up for it in quality and portions. I think I'll have dinner for about a week😂
