Tacos La Choca Mexican Food

Do not eat here or you will regret it. The service at this place was terrible. I ordered a alambre (a type of Mexican dish) and it was delivered burnt and missing several of the ingredients listed on the menu. When I arrived, I placed my order and asked about the ingredients; initially, everything seemed fine. My wife ordered a burrito without some of the ingredients, and the person who took the order—a Colombian woman, not very friendly and clearly distracted by the cook and her cell phone—served us without paying much attention. I don't care about her privacy, but I do care about the lack of professionalism. There were about seven people ahead of me, so I waited about 25 minutes. Three more people arrived, and although the place seemed busy, both the cook and the cashier were joking aro

Finally, great tacos! I grew up in LA and lived in San Diego, the 2 cities with the best Mexican food in California. When I moved to San Jose, I was devastated to find that the Mexican food wasn't as good. My coworker told me about this place. The best tacos I've had in San Jose so far! I will definitely be back. I also enjoyed the Hawaiian hot dog. That was a unique thing I've never tasted before.

I don't know why I hadn't been here sooner since its nearby where I live. I ordered some tacos and the Hawiiano hot dog and all the food was really good. The dog itself was delicious and I think the pineapple and queso added a really nice touch to it. The tacos were provided with just the tortilla and meat on top and you could load up the tacos however you wanted at the self serve condiments table. Unforunately I came in pretty close to closing so I didn't get to try the horchatta (the only drink I like) but will do so next time. They have quite a bit of tables set up underneath a tent and good music playing off a speaker connected to the truck. Having the self serve condiments table is a big sell for me at any taco truck/restuarant and all selections were on point. I loaded up my tacos

Ordered pastor tacos and quesadilla, carnitas tacos and quesadilla. Everything was reasonably priced and delicious. We love that they have a salsa bar with pico, beans, grilled onions, radish, cucumber, lime, and peppers. The seating area had a single table and 6 or so chairs and it's well lit at night. The ladies were nice. It's cash only so bring $$$.

I had originally been sceptical because I am very picky, but I was hungry and ordered a super burrito from this food truck. It got to my house within 15 minutes of ordering. It was still as if it were just made and I enjoyed it. Now I’m currently back at the food truck and they are the best people ever. Eating another burrito
