Tacos Los Potrillos (Restaurant)

Me and my partner came to eat here after a party. It was SO AMAZING in so many ways. The service was super friendly, our food came out fast, and the food was absolutely delicious. I love to be a food critic, so this isn’t the type of review I give often. I loved it and I can’t wait to go back!

After spending some time in Japan, I was seriously missing good Mexican food—and Tacos Los Potrillos came through. I stopped by with friends and ordered lengua, pastor, buche, and cabeza tacos. Every one of them was delicious—packed with flavor and cooked just right. We also shared the asada nachos, which were tasty and satisfying. I was really hoping they had asada fries (still craving those!), but the nachos held their own. This spot definitely reminded me why I missed Mexican food so much while I was away. Can’t wait to come back!

The food is so amazing, so bussin, we love coming here whenever we are craving tacos and nachos. The prices are great for the portion sizes and quality. Plus the lively lady who takes orders is so sweet. Our go to place. Definitely must come!

Taco truck often parked across Nogales High School. Came here for dinner and picked up some carne asada nachos. There’s parking available in the KFC lot. It was less than a 10 minute wait with a couple of people ahead of us. They put sour cream (no guac) and pico de gallo. There’s a fair amount of cheese and refried beans. It’s a good serving for two people and cost $10. Cash only.

Because the Bay Area is foodie central, I have incredibly high expectations for street tacos. This place is pretty legit. I’m just so glad there is a taco place nearby that reminds me of home! These tacos are slightly greasy, where the meat is soft and moist, as opposed to dry chopped up meat. The al pastor tacos are not quite like the ones I’ve had in Mexico City, but they are delicious. The asada and chorizo tacos are also great. I was not a fan of the buche tacos, which were a little too grisly for me, but I can see how folks would enjoy that. I have not tried the lengua tacos yet because I hate being disappointed by lengua tacos. Since I’ve had a couple of good experiences here, lengua will be the next one I try. You get a choice of three sauces (all three are great) and a bag of rad
