My friend suggested to come here for some breakfast burritos, he did warn me that they were small therefore I chose to grab the breakfast tacos. These tacos were really small, they look like the 50 cent special tacos from other spots. The potatoes were really good though so that helped but the steak wasn't so good.
I ordered a breakfast burrito with papa's & bacon, I even asked to confirm there was eggs in it, was told yes. This is what I got for close to $7, virtually NO eggs. Restaurants say they have to raise their prices due to the price of eggs - yet we, the customer don't get the eggs, even while paying more for them. VERY disappointing.
Good easy on the onion. I love these burritos. Tortilla is perfecto texture; flavor on spot. But this morning, I got my usual eggs with chorizo and it had diced raw onion, a lot. They should have cooked it or sprinkled a but instead, it was like biting an onion. Go easy on the onion.
I was not impressed by their asada quesadillas. Parking is a nightmare. Overall my asada quesadilla was disappointingly over toasted, dry and crumbly. The flour tortilla was very thin, dry and crumbly. There was very little cheese in the quesadilla. The asada was minimal too. It was also not flavorful and dry. Sad. I didn’t like it at all. I hate to say it but I can’t think of a single nice thing to say. Oh, but there was a wait? Yes! A wait! Not a quick wait either. The lady that took our order was nice. They have no area to sit. It’s just a store front. Meter parking. I’m not sure if the surrounding neighborhood has free parking or not.
This was our first time at Tacos Villa Corona and it was great. It is a small place and most get take away. That is what we did. The place inside is clean and just cute. I love the way they have art on the menu on their wall. It is family owned and a lot of the recipes are from the owners mom. She loved to cook. We had the best breakfast burrito. It is called Papa Steak and we also had the best chicken quesadilla. Their chips are great and we had rice on the side. We got it all to go and ate in the car and listened to music. We had a great time. This is a real gem that we had not heard of before and boy it does not disappoint. Beware the salsa, it is great, but what we had was way too hot for me. Their hours are odd, so call to make sure they are open. They run out of food. You will l
