Tacos y Pollo Mi México - Mexican restaurant

The food was honestly amazing. I don’t ever write reviews but I had to for this one. There was nothing that wasn’t amazing. The birria tacos are easily a 10/10 and I’m from New York and have had birria tacos my whole life at the best places. The owner was super welcoming and down to earth. Makes you feel at home and sat with us to eat as a matter of fact. He deserves to have 1000 customers a day in my opinion. If you like Mexican food, please do your taste buds a favor and check this place out, I’d bet my life you won’t regret it!

We stopped by and gave this joint a try. Unfortunately it didn't meet expectations. Got the steak taco combo, only rice. The tortillas, weren't very good, the seasoning on both tacos and the rice was lacking a lot, and the meat was very chewy. Maybe I have higher expectations due to having so many amazing taco joints in Chicago, but we wont be visting this place again. The young lady who took our order was extremely nice and polite. The restaurant itself is beautiful, I only wish the food was too.

good but not the best. I didn't think anything out of the ordinary. portions were smaller than usual both for the salad taco and the nachos. what I really liked was their spicy sauce. pure fire!!!

Super clean. Tacos were delicious, I ordered 3 barbacoa tacos with green sauce and cilantro. Barbacoa was perfection! Juicy, tender and perfect amount of salt. Highly recommend!! My only disappointment was the horchata. It wasn’t sweet and very watery. But everything else was 10 out of 10 ! So

The place puts out decent authentic street tacos. On this trip I got the al pastor (was impressed the meat was on an authentic trompo), barbacoa, and carne asada. Great selection of help-yourself condiments, including a unique type of charred hot pepper I had not seen before. Great heat. I was pleasantly surprised by the surprise dish of charro beans which were on the house. Everybody was friendly, the place was clean and neat. I'd like to stop by on another trip to enjoy other menu items.
