Taffer's Tavern Midtown Atlanta

First time here my wife and I came on a Sunday afternoon. There was nobody at the host stand to be seen. So we sat at the bar which is very big. The bartender was chatting up some customers and apparently didn't know that we were sitting at the bar. Then a lady walked by and we asked her if we could sit at a table in the window and she notified the host and then the server. That wasn't a great start but I'm going to chalk that up to new opening. Our server, Cai, turned out to be amazing. He was to the point he told us all of the favorites and really knew his stuff. He was on point and perfect! My wife had the salmon and it was amazing! Guy on the street told us to come try it and it was not a disappointment. Everything was amazing. The staff, the food, the drinks, the atmosphere. Griffin waited on us for dinner. We stopped in before we walked to our comedy show. The chicken avocado sandwich was so flavorful and tender, I don't think I've ever had chicken so good. The avocado was so fresh. The rest of the table had the Bourbon Burger. The entire table couldn't stop raving about it. My fiancé likes his rare and has never had a cook get that temperature just right and they did. The unique drink blends were so good that after the comedy show, we stopped back in to see Griffin for shared desserts and a drink or coffee. The salted caramel Triple Chocolate Brownie is so good, but so rich, you'll want to share it with a friend.

Hostess was friendly and interpersonal. Her recommendations led me to my dinner selection. Jaylen was the best waiter. Jaylen is very knowledgeable of the menu and interpersonal. His drinks presentation were top tier. The drinks and food were amazing. I recommend the Salmon. The food was flavorful and juicy. I shall return.

Two thumbs up, way up. From the moment you walk in you just know it's a great vibe. The hostess, the servers and the runners were all pleasant and accommodating. The music was at a level we could talk and fellowship. Great variety of television selections also. We were a table of four and no one seemed to complain about the quality of the food. We ordered the chicken tenders, fries, the bourbon burger, fish and chips and the chicken sandwich. And obviously had a round of drinks. I think the fan favorite at the table was the margarita although all the drinks were awesome and crafted. Other than the parking (which I hear is free behind the building), which they can't control... this place will hopefully have a GREAT summer ahead of them. I couldn’t have picked a better place to start vacation! The prime rib sandwich was perfect. Aneesah steered me in the right direction. I had the Taffer’s Tasters, a sample platter of their featured drinks. All were distinct and well crafted down to the tiny mermaid on the side of the glass. My service was amazing as was this tavern from start to finish. ❤️
