Talk of the Town Soul Food

I’ve been coming here since 2022 on and off the food is good I had one ehhh experience with the food. It can get pricey went two weeks ago and spent $85 for three plates. All in all 3/5 the workers were pleasant but they rush you like you’re in a school cafeteria

It was actually called The House when I ordered off of Uber Eats. The corn bread was dry and bland. The yams and Mac n cheese are great. The turkey wings comes as one. The picture demonstrates two comes with the meal. The meatloaf was alright.

If I could give it no stars, I would. Let’s start with the horrible customer service when I called regarding the dressing I ordered and had to throw away bc it had meat and I wasn’t told that it did. Next, the quality of the food. The catfish was disgusting as was the mac and cheese.the mac and cheese will cut your throat. The turnip greens were sweet. Why were they sweet? The sweet potatoes were decent. If you want good soul food, this is not the place to go. I’m so disappointed with this disgusting meal. I’ve attached pictures.

Upon arriving I asked the lady if they fixed food with MSG she said no way well I believe that was a lie I got sick that night the food was cold and the customer service was terrible the oxtails are way over priced for 2 oxtails. The candid yams was the best thing on the plate. I wouldn’t recommend this place

DO NOT eat here the food is HORRIBLE and that’s an understatement. Meatloaf was burnt and not to mention they give infant size portions (I placed a fork next to it so you can see for yourself), chicken was soggy and was NOT done when I pulled the meat off the bone to inspect. I wish I had seen the reviews before I ordered from here. Mac and cheese taste like water with square cheese on top. I wouldn’t want to eat here again if it was free. “The House” is their new restaurant name but it used to be called “Talk of the town soul food” look them up the food is so horrible a lot of bad reviews, so I see why they are the talk of the town so people can be warned to NOT EAT HERE. They are known as “The House” on Uber eats & Door dash. I wasted a little over $50 here, don’t become their next vict
