Tamales Express

Super delicious tamales. We have driving to Newhall for some tamales we like and we don't have to anymore. The tamales here are so yummy. We ordered rajas and have to say we will be back to buy more. No need for us to drive across town. The lady at the register was super nice and friendly. The place is clean and cozy.

My cheese tamales were not fresh Cheese was ugly and masa hard @ 4.00 never again

The agua Fresca mango con piña was great! But the tamales de rajas were dry, maybe old I did not like them. The chicharron one was ok. The lady that was there seemed upset not the best service. Overall experience, probably wouldn't go there again.

While the food at Tamales Express might be good, the inconsistency in their hours and availability is a significant drawback. It feels like a gamble every time you plan to visit, as there’s only about a 50/50 chance they’ll even be open. On top of that, even if you catch them during their operating hours, there's no guarantee they’ll have all the items on the menu that day. This lack of reliability extends not just to their Canyon Country location, but to their mobile locations as well. Unfortunately, this makes it difficult to depend on Tamales Express for a consistent dining experience. Photo for evidence - they make their own hours.

Haven’t been in the restaurant, but I was at a little league football game at Saugus High School and they had a tent setup. I bought two tamales and I should have bought more. So delicious and at an amazing price. Definitely a fan moving forward!❤️
