Tangie's Cafe

This place is an absolute local gym. Tangie has great food and is super friendly! Biscuits and gravy were really good. Overall the food was 10/10!

It may not look like much or be like the usual chain restaurant, but I love trying new and different places. We ordered scones and hamburgers. It was amazing! Like homemade meal, it was fresh and delicious. I am glad we went! Such nice people too! I fully encourage going!

This place is a time capsule from a rural café in 1974. Wood-paneled walls, worn carpet, and locals who look like they’ve held the same booth since the Carter administration. It’s pure comfort food and an undeniably unique local vibe—unpolished, unfussy, and somehow exactly what you wanted.

Let me start by saying that diner food is my favorite. I decided to try Tangies given its status as a mom and pop diner. I ordered the French Toast Special and a side of scones. All the flavors were perfect--the sausage was cooked perfectly, the eggs were very flavorful, and as others have mentioned, the blackberry syrup is delicious! The French toast was a little soft to my taste, but again, the taste was there. Scones were hot and fresh with a little crispness. Best I've found in the area. I will definitely be back, if only for those. :) Notes for first timers: - Seat yourself when you walk in. No need to wait for anyone to assist you. (I got confused and went to the counter first) - Pay at the counter when you are done eating. You will not get a check at your table. - I was the only

Service was super fast considering its a diner. Atmosphere is nice and cozy with a self service drink/condiment ""bar"" unfortunately the food was just bland and sub par and it was a bit more expensive considering the quality of the food. But The service and Atmosphere kind of made up for it. Not sure ill be back though. ($74 for 2 adults, 1 kid, 1 toddler w/tip)
