Tap Bloomington

The food is delicious. I ordered a turkey sandwich. Absolutely terrific. I asked for the turkey to be warmed up but they wouldn't do it according to the server. The cranberry sauce on it was terrific. My sister ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. She liked it and the fries were just as good. The atmosphere is upbeat and there are a lot of TV's. You have college kids, middle age people, Senior citizens. It's nice for everyone to feel included. The service wasn't as great. If you are going to a bar and you have a menu of cocktails - you should be pushing that. She seemed disinterested.

Food was really bland tonight. I ordered the Salmon BLT and Caesar salad. Salad was great size and very good but the sandwich was dry and not flavorful at all. I added salt to get thru 1/2 of it. Had buffalo egg rolls which lacked flavor as well. Mostly big hunks of chicken with minimal buffalo sauce, and they were overdone. Waitress was ok. She sat with another customer having a conversation after we requested our check. Tables were very unstable as well

The #1 reason to hit The Tap is the very large and very diverse beer selection. They feature a number of their own in house brews which are generally pretty solid. On this trip I had the Dark Side of the Wheat which was a blackberry forward wheat beer that was crisp and a very solid brew and the Fetty Hop which was an atrempt at a hazy new england ipa. I rate my beers on UnTapped and actually didn't enjoy that beer as there was a battle between hops and sweet that just didn't work for me which is unusual for The Tap brews. A Beer Cheese Burger and the Black Bean Burger were ordered. The beer cheese burger is always a winner. The Tap has a solid burger offering including a rotating burger of the month. The black bean burger is a surprising favorite at the tap and is really note worthy as a

Did not do a great job shoveling snow after Fern. Maybe a foot wide pathway was somewhat cleared. Legally, they need to clear 4.5 feet. I finished the job for them so people in wheelchairs could get around. Maybe next snow storm will be better. Burgers here are reliably good btw. And I like when musicians play on the little stage above the bar.

Been coming to the tap for 3 years. This is one of our favorite places in town for beer and a burger. They also have a good amount of patio seating which is perfect for spring-fall! I also love that they are one of the only places open late. They have monthly burgers which are always fantastic! If you’re looking for another good burger - the “haystack” is our favorite. I recently tried the southwest chicken salad which was packed with toppings - it’s my new favorite! Their assortment of brews is my favorite in town too.
