Taqueria El Mexicano is one of many taquerias hidden within shopping centers in this area in Maryland. I stopped in for a Saturday lunch. Here’s my experience: 1) Food: They have a full menu of tacos from pollo to carnitas and many other items like burritos. Even though Yelp directed me to the tacos, I ordered a carnitas burrito. I have no regrets. The burrito is stuffed with rice, buttery carnitas and veggies. It comes with a green salsa and a red salsa both with the right amount of kick. I added an orange can soda bringing my bill to $11. Not a bad deal at all! 2) Service: The staff are nice, but I did have to wait for 25 minutes for my burrito to go. There was a healthy flow of customers, but not that many to cause a delay. 3) Atmosphere: It’s what you want in an authentic taqueria-

I loved the food. So did my kids. We got trips tacos torta milanesa de pollo and tamales. It’s was most definitely delicious authentic Mexican food. I work at at a Mexican restaurant in New York my self and I have tried most of Mexican food. But this place it’s the GO To If u wan real Mexican food and hungry

I order a carne asada in Uber eats and look what I got, this should not cost 18 dollars

Tacos Al Pastor were amazing for this area (not as good as the ones available in Mexico City). It was a bit more expensive than I expected. I’d love to come back to try other items.
