Taqueria Guadalajara

Our first visit and it will be our last. I see all these high reviews which are ridiculous until I remember the source. Prescott V and surrounding grew up on phony Mexican food. My first forkful of “rice” was the worst rancid thing I have ever tried to eat. I immediately spit it out. The rice was overcooked and the seasoning if of a different world . Then I bit into their tamale and it had the same rancid flavor. The server was so nice we just paid our bill in full and left. If I asked for a replacement it would probably have tasted the same. Even their margarita was bland. The only real Mexican food is in Cali. Arizona, stop pretending.

A great little gem of PV.. $5.50 house margs! Outstanding deal! Love this place. Karla is a very good waitress and efficient too. You won't be disappointed if you stop by and have a cocktail and try their fine Mexican cuisine. The lunch chicken fajitas were delicious..

SO I DELETED MY PRIOR 5 STAR because we ate here for the 1st time in awhile last night. They USED TO BE one of the best places for Mexican food in PV. Not any more. We had fajita tacos and fish tacos and both absolutely sucked. Not sure what "sauce" they put on the fish tacos but it tasted like straight mayo only... Over cooked protiens and no seasoning which is disappointing, because those used to be some of the best tacos they served. Won't be going back. I did notice the kitchen crew was not the same and that shines through! No love in the food anymore!!

We arrived just as they opened at 11am. We ordered the daily special which was Burrito Loco for $8.99. I chose beef which was delicious. Michael got pork and beef combo. He told our waiter the refried beans were the best he had ever had. Definitely not from a can. I ate until I was stuffed and we both took home half of our food. Really enjoyed the ambience. Beautiful paintings and decor.

Chips and salsa are good, service was great, very friendly. Shrimp tacos were on double tortilla, very doughy, and overstuffed with vegetables that you could not pick it up, all over your hand and the plate. Focus on the shrimp flavour. Beans and rice really good
