Taqueria La Lomas

A taco truck from the Latin heavens. I dine here for my lunch break at least 2-3 times a week, MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY! (I know, not the best diet and way to blow cash) When I tell you these ladies have passion, BELIEVE ME! The plating is beautiful, the portions are hefty, the meals are simple, while all at the same time DELICIOUS! I love these ladies and most of all I love their food. You will be greeted with a smile and served just the same. I have dined at many taquerias all over the NC region, from the triangle and abroad, and Taqueria La Lomas is a bar ahead of all. In a tier of their own. 10/10 and I will be getting my tacos from there for as long as god wills it.

Read all the great reviews and they are true. Stopped by last night and had maybe the best tacos I've had since moving to NC in '05....the handmade tortillas were outstanding as well as the barbacoa and pollo, and the carnitas were absolutely perfect, slightly crispy the way I like 'em, not semi-soggy like some places serve it, which is OK but not my preference. They even gave me both salsa roja AND salsa verde (I like to mix 'em) without me even having to ask. Both Maritsa & Jadina? (my apologies if I got it wrong!) were super nice. I just can't believe how lucky I am to find authentic mexican food less than 6 miles from my house....it's like striking gold. My son and I stop there almost every week for taco Tuesdays! Their tacos and quesadillas are great and they have a variety of meats to choose from. We also love their "golden tacos" which I grew up knowing as Flautas. We love their fresh hot sauces too which have great flavor and have good heat to them!
