Taqueria Pleasant Hill

My third time here and the quality of food, staff, and price. Is okay at best! I've order tacos, burritos, taco bowls asada plates, enchiladas, and ceviche. Pro: easy parking next to grocery outlet, easy to order online or in person, short wait for food, free chips and salsa with orders. Cons: didn't enjoy the food, or the quality of food. Such as fish tacos having lettuce (cole slaw) is traditional with Mexican sour cream. Not American sour cream or cheese! It's too heavy. The enchiladas sauce were watered down, overall quality wasn't there and can be better. The atmosphere is small so if bringing more than 6 ppl can be stressful.

Really Nice guys; I want them to succeed because it's nice having a taqueria down the street. They have a great taco Tuesday special, although the sign is tiny and you might miss it. As I write this, it's $10 for 3 street tacos and an agua fresca or soda. And then they give you chips & there is a salsa bar, so that is a major plus. I have also had the nachos, which were very large, and the Chilaquiles, which were nice & spicy.

I usually give good reviews, but this time I was very disappointed with the order and the food. I ordered a regular Al Pastor burrito and a super Al Pastor burrito, why were both burritos the same size? I've ordered super burritos from other places and they're always bigger than a regular burrito, the Horchata didn't have any flavor to it and it tasted more like water than Horchata. The salsas didn't have any flavor to it, I don't think I'll ever come back to this place after my experience with my order.

Honestly, if I could give this place a zero, I would! It’s the nastiest place I’ve ever ordered from. I ordered their grilled pollo plate, and the chicken came out diced up not grilled at all, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was boiled from the way it looked, smelling old like it was cooked for chicken taco’s the night before. Mind you, I ordered at 6:00 PM on a Wednesday. My partner ordered the chili verde, and the meat was so dry, it was like it was swimming in sauce. And the meat chunks were so small, like they were for taco meat. The chips were also super stale. In all honesty, I’m so pissed because I ordered online for delivery so I’m like who do I even complain to for my money back just a complete waste of basically 80 dollars. 🤦🏾

Friendly staff and tasty fare. My steak and seafood Molcajete (even though I had to order it as a take-out) was great and easily served two. I suspect it would have been even better if I had ordered it for dine-in.
