Don’t let this small taco spot fool you…they don’t mess with the flavor! It was delicious! I’m creature of habit and I tend to go to the same taco spot all the time but I decided to venture out. It did not disappoint! It’s a small space so please don’t expect to sit down and dine but if you’re on a solo date you might get lucky and find a spot on their counter.
Amazing experience. All the tacos were PACKED with flavor and delicious taste. Easy to order on a self order screen to go back up and order as many as you want. Tacos came out fast, delicious picos to add by the front door, not cheap with the meat. I will be back!
These tacos in NYC are unreal. If they were in Mexico, I’d honestly eat them every day. The lengua taco was spectacular — tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Easily some of the best tacos I’ve had outside Mexico.
Been wanting to try el Chato for a couple months and finally popped in. In general, I love Al pastor and so I got it in quesadilla form and it was excellent. I always love the lil’ crispy pieces that are charred and this had plenty of them! I also tried the asada, suadero, & lengua and i enjoyed them in that order. I always try them with no salsas first and then add afterwards to see how good they are. I really enjoyed the asada and sister. The tongue wasn’t bad, but just not quite as good as the others. I was looking forward to chorizo & mushroom but they were out, so I’ll just have to come back. El Chato is definitely worth a visit and worthy of adding onto a taco tour you’re planning. Come check it out!
Loved the food here! Came around 5:30pm on a Friday night and there was no line. My friend and I ordered at the kiosk. We weren’t super hungry. We just wanted to try this spot, so we got two tacos. The stand out was definitely the al pastor taco!
