Tasties Soul Food Restaurant

I’m a uber driver I’m new to the city and I’m learning the area and spots to eat at I went to this store to pick up a order the lady was very rude. I grabbed the order. Walked out and looked at the menu because it was completely dark inside and not presentable so I called in to make a order. She hung up in my face and said I can walk in for that. I just move to Philly. Wouldn’t recommend this for anyone.

The greens are soaked in butter or oil & you can taste the vinegar & red peppers seeds, the lemon pepper wings had a hald of stick of butter and no real seasoning, the wings were fried extremely hard, the Mac & Cheese just taste like pepper. The only thing that did not have a problem was the sweet potatoes.

I just started doing uber as of today after taking a break and my experience with the lady up front was concerning. she was very rude. after telling me to hold on a minute she calls from the back of the kitchen where i am barely paying attention to her at that point asking for the persons name as if i knew she was talking to me. she replied with a sarcastic “hello!?” and basically made me feel like I was the issue. would not recommend

I was hungry so I decided to give them a try which i got the chicken and shrimp pasta. The noodles were tasteless mushy and stuck together at the same time like they cook them didn't stir them then let them sit in water all day. The sauce was so watery I never seen Alfredo sauce drip like water before but I did have flavor to it. I had a small portion of chicken I kid you not like a piece of chicken breast or something broken into pieces not a whole piece. The shrimp were big but not cleaned and they had no flavor at all. I spent $32.50. I could be crazy cause I'm actually going to try a different dish later today lol. The Alfredo is a no for me but I'm going to try the fish with Mac and string beans for dinner. It definitely looked better in appearance so yea I'm going to give them anothe

Celebrated a 30th birthday here on a Saturday. The restaurant is located on a busy street in West Philly and there is only street parking available. The inside of the restaurant is minimally decorated but looks cute. There is limited seating but there seems to be a lounge area upstairs. The menu prices are reasonable (entrees ranged between $15-$40) We had a party of 13 people and the restaurant/ staff were accommodating. The menu is not big but has good food selections. I ordered the whiting w/ 2 sides (Mac n cheese and greens). The whiting and Mac n cheese were delicious but the greens were salty. My friend said the salmon entree was tasty and so was the the chicken and waffles. Overall a decent experience but one suggestion is the place needs a deep cleaning as the seating chairs an
