Tasty Szechuan

This restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Hayward. Street parking only. Limited indoor seating. This place was clean and well-organized. The menu is simple but packed with delicious choices. The server was very friendly and helpful. She recommended all the food we ordered. Must try their #50 dry-fried green beans, #23 Cilantro beef, and #26 Chili fried chicken.

Was in the area and got turned onto this place by a few friends. Was so good, we went twice in 2 days (once dine-in and once takeout). Both were amazingly good. Highlights: cilantro beef, dry hot pot, cumin lamb and spicy wontons. But everything else we got was good as well (although come prepared to eat some spicy food!) Service was warm and very good… was like dining at a family member’s house. Would definitely recommend!

Salt & pepper shrimp was great! Slightly oily but delicious. The vegetable chow mein noodles were yummy! And the Sauted cabbage was perfect. 45$ for 3 big plates of food. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely love this neighbourhood gem! We discovered this place while looking for authentic Szechuan fish near Union City and Yelp recommended this place. We've been here twice already and are very happy with the quality of food, service and cleanliness/ambience of this joint. My husband and I enjoyed our Mapo Tofu and Fish in Chilli oil both times. It is on the spicy side just as expected from Szechuan cuisine and the portion sizes of the entrées are generous for 2 to share. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Our favorite sichuan restaurant! We drive all the way from Oakland and send people from all around the bay to this restaurant. So fresh, the flavors amazing, and the spices are like flowers of the sun! And if you need mild there are beautiful vegetables or orange chicken or many other choices. Can't wait to come back again and again!
