Tasu Asian Bistro

We visited this restaurant on a Wednesday around 4:30 PM. The place is spacious, clean, and had a nice, quiet atmosphere since it wasn't too busy at that time. Everything smelled clean and fresh, which I appreciated. Service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and took my food allergies seriously. I told her I'm allergic to shrimp and don't like spicy food, and she made sure every dish was separated and safe for me. We ordered several items to share. The miso soup was a bit salty for my taste and could've used a little more miso, but it was fine. The pork dumplings had good filling, though the wrapper was a little chewy. Oh man! It's been awhile since I stumbled upon a 10 out of 10 place and this one checked all the boxes! We discovered this restaurant by chance while traveling and it looked cozy on a cold windy night. I could type for an hour about what made it great, but let's cut to the chase.. this is the BEST ramen I have ever had! I'm talking as close to a trip to Japan you might get! The Tonkotsu broth was thick and creamy. The fat from the pork belly and broth glazed the chewy noodles. The dish had so many dazzling elements and distinguished flavors! Smokey and savory are a couple. The Ajitsuke Tamago(ramen egg)was perfectly marinated and the yolk was velvety with a tinge of jam. That was the highlight of the dish! Very nice and loved the bogo half off. The server was very nice and respectful. He had a lot of patience and gave us time without rushing us. The Thai tea was very delicious. The sushi was very fresh and tasty with every bite. It's one of my favorite sushi places to go. Very nice atmosphere and not to overcrowded.

I was in a party of about 14 people. Our server handled us very well. I ordered sushi and an entrée. Crazy Donkey and Sumo(SS) are the sushi rolls that I ordered. Both were a great pick. My choice of entrée was Tasu House Fried Rice. It was super great. One of the better fried rice dishes I've ever had. The addition of the Chinee BBQ Pork in it really amps the flavor up. Too bad I don't live near by. I would order food from here regularly if I could. The fountain soda was alright also.

My favorite sushi place in Raleigh. Not over priced. Always consistent. We always get dumplings, wonton soup, and a bunch of rolls to share! Florida roll is my go-to. We also like the Crazy, Outer Banks, Fiesta, and the volcano roll. If you’re ever in Durham their sister restaurant, Shiki, is nice too!
