Taylor's Soul Food

We found this eatery on a Maps search for Soul food. We lucked up being able to order, as they were closing early today. We selected our to go meals from a large variety of offerings. I ordered 2 fried pork chops with collards, Mac & cheese, and cornbread. My wife ordered the grilled shrimp with cole slaw, Mac & cheese, and hush puppies. They didn't have a full order of shrimp, so she also got the fried flounder. All of the food was hot and fresh. The portions were very generous. Only one suggestion: cut back on the salt. Everything, including the Mac & cheese, had a lot of salt. Reducing the sodium would make this good food great. Friendly folks. Easy in and out. Definitely worth a stop!

Went here, food is exceptionally good, chicken sandwich did need salt but overall really good

Food was warm and seasoned. I did not care for the greens they were way too sweet, and the macaroni had a hint of lemon which I wasn't used to. The hamburger steak, fried okra and cornbread were excellent. They served the Best Arnold Palmer I have had. I will return and try other items.

If I could leave 0 star review I would. I’m from out of town and thought by the pictures I had found a good little soul food spot. Took me 3 tries to get a fountain drink that was good and all my food tasted like fish even the cabbage. Chicken was overcooked. I couldn’t eat more than a few bites including trying everything. Took plate home to see if my dog will eat it.

I read some reviews before I decided to try this place some of the reviews I thought maybe they were being a little unfair, but I have to say this place has got to be the worst place i've ever had so called soul food, where can I begin? I ordered Fried pork chops collard greens so call Mac and cheese. the greens had sugar in them Who does that? the Mac and cheese was terrible It wasn't fresh the pork chops had absolutely no taste and it had a old smell to it, secondly I ordered so-called smothered chicken and rice The rice was cold. The chicken was something that was purchased in a bag already chopped up. It's not The normal chicken smother in gravy i'm accustomed to, didn't taste like real chicken.
