Teca Restaurant and Bar

Beautiful Italian restaurant with high prices and mediocre food to pair. Kasia I believe her name was was an excellent server! My wife got shrimp and lobster ravioli which she loved but I got the steak pasta special and it was mediocre at best. Had filet minion on the top but it was really nothing special about the meat and I had to look for the meat while eating the chunks were that small. The flavor of the whole dish was very muted and the asparagus might've been the most prominent flavor. We shared their special appetizer as well and they were basically big fried batter balls with a morsel of meat inside of them. Tasted okay but basically just something to fill you up. What a fun find!! We were trying to go to Bar Avalon down the street but their door was open and the lights off. Happy to have stumbled into this gem instead! The server was super friendly and helpful when I couldn’t choose between my dishes and I’m glad I got the chicken parm with vodka sauce. Their drinks were good and the fries excellent. I’ll be back for their calamari salad alone!

We had lunch here after visiting the Chester county history center. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside. I had the Chicken Marsala, my wife the Lobster Ravioli. Both dishes were prepared to perfection. The vegetables on the Marsala were cooked perfectly. I have an allergy to onions and gluten so they prepared mine with special care avoiding both. The service was very good our server was polite, efficient, and helpful. As you can see in the attached picture the portions are substantial. Being my first time here it was a pleasant experience and look forward to a return. PS. The cheese cake for desert was delicious. The price included 2 drinks and a Guinness.

We went to Teca for a family get together the other day. Parking was a little tight. The chicken marsala was tasty, but the meat was firm and not tender. The pork dish was flavorful and very delicious.

The restaurant is located in the heart of West Chester with an ambiance that is very inviting. For vegetarians the food options will be very limited but you will find something. They are accommodating to make sure if they can remove meat from dishes and make sure if the base of any item is not meat based. Food taste was okay and not anything out of the world. Summer time in this place is very entertaining and filled with music. Based on the look of the meat based dishes I would recommend meat eaters to at least try this place once.
