Customer Reviews
When got there 5 mins before the sandwiches were ready- despite that. (We ate them right away) the sandwiches were soggy and falling part half way as we were eating them. They were bland and one note flavored both lightly sweet. which was surprising for the Philly. And the “spicy” crispy chicken sandwich was not spicy is was sweet. Overall not good will not be back d’Amato sandwiches down the street are better
Got the Southside Johnny and the Arancini. Both outstanding. Definitely coming again to try their other sandwiches as having been there once I can already say this is one of the best sandwich places in the city.
Love this place. Usually, the food is delicious and fresh. I’m not sure what happened today that I received an expired Pasta Salad, pretty bummed about it as it’s one of my favs from this place. I didn’t realized it was expired until I took my first bite. This is also my first time having an issue with my food from this place and hopefully my last 🤞Please be more careful.
The sandwiches are fantastic. I ordered the B. Franklin and my wife ordered a custom sandwich. The B. Franklin is one of the best turkey sandwiches I’ve had. The staff are friendly, service is fast, and music is good. Definitely plenty of options to choose from for my next visit!
The Cubano sandwich was born from thrift: cheap pork, ham, and mustard pressed into perfection by Cuban immigrants. Tempesta’s $20 (!) version tastes fine, but no amount of “craft” justifies turning working-class comfort food into a luxury good. Charging us a credit card fee makes it even funnier. What was once an emblem of accessibility now feels like a case study in culinary gentrification from west side hipsters.
