The food was on another level, super fresh local ingredients, family recipes made with recognition of the past and an eye towards the future. The vibe in the restaurant is top-notch and the neighborhood is so chill and beautiful. Sat outside and met so many friendly people on the street, and the staff was really gracious. The butternut squash chorizo brussels sprout with preserved lemon dish was banging, enchiladas mole poblano and Chilaquiles with christmas sauce and pecan flan were all so good

The establishment, while compact, successfully evokes the ambiance of a traditional Mexican rancho, reminiscent of similar dining experiences in local pueblos. The cuisine presents authentic flavors, including homemade mole and tortillas. The meat dishes are expertly prepared, showcasing a variety of well-balanced seasonings. Despite its less-than-ideal location, a visit is highly recommended.

Amazing hole in the wall place in LA. Been away from LA for quite some time and was craving some authentic Mexican food. This place did not disappoint. The service (esp. Anthony) was top notch and their recommendations were on point. Amazing food (esp. the chilaquiles) that hit all the right spots & satisfied my craving. Strongly recommend!

First time and I have to say I was left speechless. Their food is cooked with love and you can taste it. You must also try their flan! It is super delicious! Better than my mom's but dont tell her.

Chief Leo is the greatest! Food is always fresh to order, with quality ingredients, and so flavorful. From the salsas to the fresh made corn chips, to the in house made mole, everything is amazing, flavorful, and made with love. Good things come to those who wait so don't be rushing no one, it's worth the wait! 😉
