Texarkana Public Library

First time here. I came in to get my library card and to check out some movies. I had three movies I was looking for, they only had one of them. The librarian there was very helpful and answered all of my questions.

Children are not welcome here. This was our second visit to the library since moving to the area, and unfortunately, both times we’ve left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. As a family with young children, we were excited to explore the library and help our kids learn how to conduct themselves appropriately while developing a love for reading. Sadly, both visits were marked by the same cold, dismissive attitude from staff. During our most recent visit, two elderly women were particularly rude. When I explained that we were working on teaching our kids how to behave in the library, one replied with a sarcastic, “Glad it’s you and not me.” Another staff member was overheard making remarks about us to a coworker while we were still present. Love the workers there so much help

We love this library and the librarians! Very helpful. The drive through is great. They even ordered a whole series of books because my son was interested in them. Could have more teenage fiction and graphic novels but this is solved by interlibrary loans.

I don't like this library. Just move here from Idaho. I love to read and was hoping to get books for the library. Unfortunately, the librarian is rude. I used to volunteer at a library in north Idaho. I been to multiple libraries never had a problem. Some actually have programs for the homeless people. Help them write resumes to apply. They had craft time for the homeless. Its ashamed that the library is like a prison. It's ashamed that i don't feel comfortable bringing my kids to the library
