Texas Jack’s Barbecue

Our 4 person group chose the large meat medley. Everything was great, but the beef brisket and pork ribs were simply out of this world! Just incredibly delicious. Also enjoyed the baked beans and Brussels sprouts sides. Our extra Mac and cheese side was awesome as well. Great service! 🙏

Texas Jack’s was decent overall, but nothing really stood out. We ordered a variety of items. The wraps were filling but a bit dry, and the flavors didn’t pop as much as expected. The mac and cheese was creamy and nicely topped, though fairly mild and could use more seasoning. The wings were the best part of the meal, well cooked with good flavor and a nice crisp. The burnt ends looked great and were tender, but leaned more sweet than smoky and lacked that deep BBQ flavor. They were less like burnt ends and more like a pot roast unfortunately. Service and atmosphere were fine, and portions were reasonable. Overall, it’s an okay neighborhood BBQ spot, but with the reputation and prices, I was hoping for more.

The entire menu looked amazing which made it hard to decide, so I got the meat platter: brisket, chicken, pork, ribs, hot link, with baked beans, brussel sprouts and corn bread muffins as sides. Every. Single. Bite. Was amazing! Juicy, tender, tasty. My wife had the burrito with brisket and was really happy with her decision. She said the mac and cheese was so good, she could have had that as an entrée. Finished it off with the bread pudding and man, it was delicious! Highly recommend!

I stopped by for lunch on a Monday and had a really good experience from start to finish. The place wasn’t crowded, and I was seated right away. The restaurant has a lot of seating options — cozy booths, regular tables, bar stools, and even a private area in the back that looked perfect for events with its own bar setup. My server was friendly and very attentive throughout the meal. I started off with a butterscotch root beer, which was so tasty and had a flavor that reminded me of butterbeer from the Harry Potter world — loved it! For appetizers, I went with the Carolina Gold wings. They were tangy, smoky, and full of flavor, with juicy meat that fell right off the bone. For my main dish, I tried the brisket sandwich. The brisket was tender but could have used a little more seasoning on

Very good and affordable BBQ place in Arlington. The staff are friendly and very attentive. The food is so good. Its my go to place to bring people for BBQ in the DC metro area. They have a (very) small parking lot on the side, otherwise its fend for yourself street parking which is not prevalent.
