TEXAS ROADHOUSE When friends asked if I wanted to join them at the Texas Roadhouse in Riverview for lunch, I was in. It's my go to place when I crave a steak cooked to perfection. I used the app on my phone to get on the wait list and when we arrived we were immediately seated. We were not disappointed, our drinks and their signature honey cinnamon buns and butter and their Cactus Blossom appetizer hit the spot as we waited for our main course. The three of us watched the staff participate in a birthday celebration for a young man in the booth next to us. They brought out a saddle which he mounted as all joined in singing happy birthday and cameras captured the moment. I noticed some great additions to the menu. The first thing that caught my eye was the dirty soda. Not really a dirty soda

Ordered the Family strip 8 oz Family house salad pack To Go. I was not impressed with the steak. It was supposed to be cooked to medium. It came medium rare. The salad had good portions. The green beans and mashed potatoes were not big enough for 4 people. Maybe for 1 person. 12 rolls for 4 people? Filler food to make up for the small portions of green beans and potatoes...maybe? I've been to various Texas Roadhouse Steakhouses across the country, and I never realized you could pick your own steak from the cooler until this trip! The steak was a GIANT bone-in rib-eye with above-average marbling. The steak was great, and served to me cooked to med-rare for cheaper than I could buy a from a local butcher. The baked potato was good, but WAY over salted.

The food was delicious, our server extremely nice! My husband and I had a great time, definitely coming back!

Disappointed. I usually love this place and the service is always great when dining in. Unfortunately, the take-out was so disappointing. I ordered a medium well steak and it came medium rare literally blood in center, I couldn’t eat it. The steak kabob tasted good but the portion was so small compared to when we’ve gone and dined in. Def not worth the price, my husband was still hungry when he finished. And with dinner rolls usually good portion in restaurant only four rolls for entire order. Won’t be ordering out again.
