Texas Roadhouse

My family had been to some of their franchised locations in some neighboring cities in our part of northern Texas. Believe me, they're among the best in fine cuisine. In Sherman, this splendid restaurant is situated just a spitting distance from N. Sam Rayburn Fwy. before it intersects with E. Highway 82. It's also near where the big box Lowe's Home Improvement is. Locals who love good food (who doesn't?) are lucky to be near the area because they have choices of many good restaurants around. Texas Roadhouse is popular for its delicious steaks as well as fall-off-the-bone ribs. You will have your fill of two sides and, gawd!, their fresh-baked bread is heavenly. I usually ask for second servings. The servers are friendly and respectful.

The noise level was insane but that's to be a expected there I guess. I just wouldn't choose this if you get overstimulated easy. We had a wait jo big deal, they were busy. We finally get sat and didn't see our waitress for a bit. She was sweet, nothing against her. My steak was supposed to be Medium... It was almost rare. They took my same steak threw it on the grill and it essentially came back the same. I just ate it, it's not even worth it. The green beans smelled like they were infused with liquid smoke, no way could I eat those. Mashed potatoes weren't the worst but they were bland. That being said the steak was seasoned well and tasted good, just a little too red for my liking. The managers and waitress were nice. Just had some hiccups. Ps I forgot to take a picture of the steak.

Stopped here on a whim on our way back to our hotel. Being a Sunday evening, and the car park busy we didn't know what to expect. We were greeted with friendly faces and only waited 2 minutes for a table. Food was fantastic, and in my opinion, reasonably priced. Only downside is we won't be back for a while, we're back off to Scotland tomorrow. Lots of sad faces.

We ate at this location last Saturday at noon. Three adults and 4 children. We were seated promptly and served our drinks. My 4 year old grandson has some food allergies and I was looking over the menu and also asked the waitress some questions. Soon the cook himself came to the table, sat down and explained what options they could provide that would be safe for my grandson. I appreciated this extra consideration very, very much. My grandson was able to enjoy the meal just as much as his siblings. All of our food was excellent as well. And served in a timely manner. This was an all around pleasant experience and we look forward to returning.

It's sad that this is one of the best places to eat around Grayson County because the STEAKHOUSE cooks can't even cook a STEAK. I order Med Rare every time and it's either Well Done or Blue Rare, how incompetent does someone need to be to get hired at a STEAKHOUSE and fail this badly? Chicken that we got for the kids were tiny little nuggets of breading and zero actual meat, too. Is there no one working expo doing quality checks on the slop meals people are dropping $50+ for?
