Thai Kitchen 4

It's been 2 years but the food hasn't missed a beat. The chicken wings. Fish cakes. Curry puffs. Thai tea 🍵 I'm trying the Drunken noodles 🍜 for the first time. If I make a stop to come here haleay through a 2 hour drive 🚗 it is always worth it to stop here and eat.

Just shy of $14 for a quart of take-out soup (Tom Yum)... more carrots than anything. Asked for it spicy... they asked 1 thru 5... I replied 5... hot, Native! It barely had any spice. Then got home to find that there was an inch of headspace (air) in the container. Not to mention the plastic on the windows and the space heaters on the tables in the dining room. Just sad how far down hill this place has gone. Waitress who too the order was lovely though... just hope she finds another job before this place closes because I cant see them remaining open the way things are.

**I would like to add one important thing to all the reviews out there** many people complain about the atmosphere, and assume it's the owners fault (plastic over windows, cold bathroom etc). As with anything in life, don't be so quick to judge.. this is the landlord's fault 100%. The building's heating system does not work, and he will not fix it adequately (as he is obligated to do so in the lease). Because she does not have the means to fix it herself, she is doing everything that she can to keep the place warm for her customers. Thai 4 is a hidden gem in southington. The food is authentic and always amazing. The owner Patty is very sweet, and remembers your order / preferences without even asking. She is in the process of finding a new home, so please be patient. if you like the foo

I don't know if they were having an off night in the kitchen, but I am genuinely shocked at the food I received. I ordered pad thai with tofu, and this is what I was given. The noodles are dry, there's like 5 pieces of tofu, no peanuts, no lime. I paid $15 for a to go container of dry noodles with carrots, a few pieces of egg, and maybe half of a handful of bean sprouts. The woman who took my order was very nice, but this is genuinely the worst takeout I've had in my life. First and last time I'm going to this place.

The food here was really good. Pad see ew sauce tasted a little different than other places; it had a bit more lemon flavor. The calamari was excellent.
