The food was good but the portions didn’t necessarily match the price. Very convenient in the phinney area. Nice people and service. Probably wouldn’t come back because there are many good options in the area.
I’ve been wanting to go here for a long time just never made the time - but finally went and I was excited to try it and Thaiku did not disappoint. The food was fresh, fast, and delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely plan on going back!
Thaiku is a Thai restaurant on Phinney Ridge next to El Chupacabra. It used to be on Ballard Ave and was a noodle house in Fremont before that. This location can be tough to park at, especially on weekends since street parking is difficult in this area. They have some tables outside open during nice weather and over a dozen tables inside. The service is great, the staff are super friendly. Their menu isn't massive like most other Thai food restaurants, and you can order directly from their website if you plan on picking it up. For takeout orders, the portion sizes are very small, making the price per size pretty bad. The panang curry was just a little over 1 cup with no vegetables in it, so it was actually more of a soup. The pad see ew had no vegetables in it and was only filled about 1/3
Decent, but the portions are pretty small for what you pay and the food quality seems pretty standard. I ordered the pork belly curry which: 1. Is listed as spicy and there was 0 spice. 2. Had 3 slices of pork belly and relatively little curry which left my rice still fairly dry.
Best thai food in seattle! The flavors are unique and delicious. We came with a large group and each of the 7 dishes we got were excellent! Really good cocktails and mocktails as well. The patio is amazing for a sunny day but the inside is nice and cozy when its cold out.
