The Bakery

I ordered a cake for my children’s baptism and it did not go as planned. I went to pick up the cake and was informed the images I sent with the initial email would not open, yet no one reached out to me. They “went off memory” of what I showed them when I initially went in to order. I also requested my children’s names be written on the cake and upon pickup, nothing was written on the cake at all. I was informed at pickup they had “leftover frosting if I wanted them to write something on it.” I stood there staring at the atrocious cake and realized adding my children’s names wouldn’t make the cake look any better. I felt as though this cake was completed last minute and just thrown together. I was truly disappointed with the outcome, but agreed to take it at pickup as I only had 2 hours pr

Liz does an exceptional job! I’ve had her cater for the District Solo and Ensemble Judges’ meal. Four times so far. Chicken Croissant sandwiches met with rave reviews as well as her cookies and bars.

Ordered a lemon meringue pie for my birthday. There was barely any meringue and what there was it was nearly burned as you can see in the photo on the right. I paid for it anyway and left. I then picked up another pie from another bakery and as you can see in the photo there is quite a difference in the two. I called the bakery and said how disappointed I was and I probably should have not accepted the pie. The response I got was thank you for letting us know. Also they had the front door open and no screen door on the entrance. There were flies on the baked goods that were in the open and not covered. Very disappointed-won’t go back. I tried to give the pie from The Bakery away and no one wanted it

Chef Liz helped make my parents' 70th anniversary extra special by making Croquembouche, which had been their wedding cake in Casablanca in 1953. She delivered the cake and some dessert bars on time and on a Sunday...much appreciated!

The cake I ordered looked like a 5 year old had decorated it. When I got home, I scraped it all off. I hoped it would taste better than it looked but it did not. There was no flavor to the cake or frosting, just extreme amounts of butter. As much as I love butter, having a mouthful of it is not pleasant. My husband had to spit it out it was so bad.
