We turned up about 12:30 and they were already out of 3 of the meat choices. Slightly annoying but other than that, the food was superb! I have no idea what the rib rub consisted of but it's the best damn rub I've ever tasted!
Gets the job done. Tasty BBQ with lots of options. The rub used on the ribs is pretty special. This joint is clearly popular as some of the meats had already run out by 1230 and most of the sears were taken. Would stop by again if passing by.
On our way home from experiencing the solar eclipse in Texas, we almost left the state without getting any BBQ! Luckily, in the small town of Brownfield in West Texas, we were saved by the delicious barbeque at The BBQ Barn. The owners are hardworking and it shows in their delicious food. The pickled jalapenos were a tasty surprise! Definitely stop by for lunch when you are in the area!
One thing about Texas, small towns can still have big taste when it comes to BBQ. Driving through, pulled over and pulled up Google Maps to look at eateries. Zeroed in on this little joint and glad I did. Two meat plate, brisket and sausage. Got lucky in that it was jalapeño sausage day. The brisket was tender, nicely rendered fat layer. Jalapeño sausage had a mild bite, no gristle detected. The sauce, tried at the end, was a slightly sweeter version than I like but nonetheless tasty. Good mustard potato salad and perfectly tender pinto beans. As a side note, I go to town on the black pepper on my beans and potato salad. They didn’t do that in the picture. Definitely a recommended place to stop. 👍🏻
I had the brisket wrap and banana pudding. The food was delicious and flavorful with big portions. The staff were friendly and attentive. This place had plenty of seating inside. I highly recommend this for my family and friends!
