The Best Barbacoa in Spring

Today my husband and I were finally able to visit. We ordered the number 3 that came with lb of barbacoa, charro beans, doz tamales and flour/corn tortillas your choice and salsa we got red. The barbacoa is pretty good but needed salt. Honestly it's just how I remember it being cooked when I was younger and everyone just added their own salt. It wasn't fatty which was perfect just meat. We got the flour tortillas they were hot but after driving home and them being wrapped up they kinda stuck together. The beans were not bad but also needed a tad bit more seasoning. I would also like to add idk how much heat they have that burner on bc those beans stayed hot like burn your mouth hot for a looong time lol. The tamales are great! This is the best spot for barbacoa and carnitas. Very very affordable and quality is 10/10. ALSO VERY CLEAN! Definitely recommend stopping by!! Staff is 10/10 food is 12/10

Moved from San Antonio to NE Spring 9 months ago and I finally found my go to barbacoa spot. Barbacoa, Tamales and menudo were on point. It’s a 30 minute drive, but well worth it! Owner was very friendly as well.

Great spring gem for there specially Barbara lean and delicious. The beans where good to a little spice and a lot of flavor. FYI just to be clear it a humble takeout restaurant for the most part grab and go it won't fit a large amount of people 30 or less I think 🤔. But it's worth it. Try it out fri-sun open and fresh cooked.

This place was delicious, my mom ordered a dozen tamales and a barbacoa taco and I ordered the Mexican chorizo plate! It was authentic and tasted like it was supposed to! I always judge a place by there beans and I promise you they brought a smile to my face, everything is hot and fresh and made daily! The owner his wife own it and they’re very friendly, will be back!
