Customer Reviews
I thought this place was great! Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The goat cheese and fried green tomato app was phenomenal!!! I had the grilled shrimp po boy with fries. It was equally as good as the app. Food came out pretty quickly and was super hot and fresh. We went for lunch and the dining room filled up quickly. Get there early for sure. Definitely will be going back!
Incredible! All the staff was nice but we had Clayton who actually cared about us. The Shrimp Po-boy was the best ever. I've had them in many places, even on the beach and those were good but these are #1. My wife's meatloaf sandwich was excellent also. The shrimp were huge, perfectly cooked and so tasteful. If your ever close to Columbus GA, it would be worth making a visit there. A nice menu and very reasonable pricing.
The atmosphere is cozy & quaint. The service was spot on. We had the fried bacon with honey Tabasco sauce as an appetizer. It was very tasty. The heat does build though. For the main course, I had the fish (grouper) & chips with the pineapple casserole. My wife had the meatloaf with Mac & cheese and pineapple casserole. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend giving it a taste. You'll love it!
Came here tonight while visiting town. They had lobster tots on the menu I decided to try them. They were phenomenal. Then I had their ribeye steak. That was amazing. Met two really friendly locals that were nice people. The service here was great as well. The bartender was a hard worker who never lost pace or slowed down. Definitely a good place to eat if you're in the Columbus, Georgia area.
The Black Cow is hands down one of the best places to eat in Columbus! The food is excellent, and the service is always friendly and attentive. It’s definitely a popular spot—by early evening the place is already buzzing with energy. My go-to is the Chicken and Waffles—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced every time. My wife had the steak salad, which was good, though it came with a little too much blue cheese for her taste. One thing we couldn’t help but notice was how many tables around us ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes—they’re clearly a favorite here and looked fantastic. The atmosphere is great—small, cozy, and full of character. If you’re in Columbus, The Black Cow is a must-visit for both the food and the vibe.
