Let me preface this by saying I never ever find/make the time to leave reviews. But this one is a MUST. We recently relocated from Boston and The Butter End quickly became our favorite spot in SoCal. We get it for every small or big celebration, for ourselves and for others. We had it the night of our engagement...fell asleep on the couch drinking Champagne and eating the butter end. We have had it to welcome every guest who has come to visit us from the east coast or any dinner we host in general. When my parents flew in from Boston we went to the butter end before even bringing them to our home. Butterend is unreal. • For my fiancé’s birthday, they made this gorgeous cake with a branch wrapping around it (I saw it on their site and had to have it). It matched the party decor perfectly. • They coordinated directly with the venue for drop-off (who was being a little difficult) and handled everything without me lifting a finger. With all the other party chaos, that was a lifesaver. • I am genuinely not a cake person. I’m always underwhelmed at weddings and events when people hype the cake. But this? The buttercream cake with chocolate icing was the best cake/dessert I’ve ever had. I was actually in love with it. • It was huge, we ate it for days, and yes… I ate the last slice of his birthday cake. He was slightly pissed. Got our wedding cake from The Butter End and it was absolutely divine. The tasting with Kimberly was so fun and she helped us design the classic vintage cake of our dreams. We did half carrot cake and chocolate chocolate chip, and our guests were absolutely raving about the cake. Most said “I don’t usually like wedding cake but that cake is the best I’ve ever had!” We are so thankful for a great experience and highly recommend The Butter End.

The Bakers @ The Butter End made a beautiful cake for our friends at The Walt Disney Company. They were all delighted by the design, the taste and spot on accuracy of the character. Everyone at The Butter End was excited and helpful. It was a wonderful celebration!!

I cannot tell you how incredible and delicious our wedding cake cake was. We got married at Calamigos Ranch in August 2025 , 130 people. When we were trying cakes, my husband and I were traveling a lot and they were so patient with us. They gave us a 10-cake box sampler when we told them we needed to try our cakes while on the road. Let me tell you, we ate the whole entire box essentially in one sitting. For our cake, we ended up choosing coconut cake with passionfruit icing for 2 tiers and then a chocolate almond cherry for the other 2 tiers. It was so delicious. I am counting down the days until our first anniversary so I can eat the whole entire top that we saved! In addition, they were so nice, so lovely, and a great experience overall.
