Our family stopped to eat here while camping in the area. This is our second time eating here, and we all agree that The Caboose earns five stars for the service and the food. Our meals were made fresh and served hot. Everything was delicious. Don't miss this little gem in Inlet. See pictures!
Came through here on a vacation run through the mountains and lakes of the Adirondacks and automatically noticed the train caboose as soon as I passed through the scenic town of Inlet, NY. Had to stop for lunch and wasn't disappointed. The paninis were delicious and provided an excellent small grab-n-go lunch for our day out. Its strictly a takeout place, so there isn't any real "seating" per say, but they made their patio really inviting and able to seat a few people, including my family and I. The owners were really nice and friendly, and we can't wait to be back next year and excited for whatever they have planned next!
Super great experience. Wonderful variety of panini sandwiches available. The roast beef was a big hit and the potrabella mushroom was delicious. Highly recommended. Outdoor picnic tables under an awning is available.
I ate here based on Google reviews. I was not impressed. This is a panini sandwich place, exclusively. You stand outside to order and then get your food when your name is called. Seating is outside at a picnic table and a few two-person tall tables. My sandwich had unidentifiable paper items in the filling. When I first bit into a piece I spit it out and set it aside, not wanting to be a bother. A few bites later I encountered a larger chunk of paper and decided it was time to speak up. The man I showed my paper chunks to was pleasant and apologetic. Shortly after I was called to pick up another sandwich. I thought perhaps it might be brought to me. Nope. A while later I was again called to the pickup window and given a 25% off coupon for use at a future visit. That was a nice but unhelpfu
We stopped by The Caboose in Inlet, New York, for lunch, and it was the perfect spot for my wife and two kids. Located right in the heart of town, the central location made it easy to find. The outdoor seating on the deck was perfect for enjoying the fresh air, and the inviting atmosphere made it such a comfortable place to relax. The panini was absolutely delicious! You can tell they put a lot of care into the food. Karl and Jill, the owners, were so kind and pleasant, making our experience even better. We'll definitely be coming back every time we're in the Adirondacks! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great meal in a welcoming setting.
